Amish Noise was a 1 man sound machine, mutated into a 4 headed beast, & has now returned to the bearded roots of a solo act.
Band/artist history
Started out making recordings with a friend/roommate in WNY back in 98-2000. Left WNY to work in MA in Oct of 2000, continued to make recordings, made my first official demo in 2002 that I handed out at shows I went to, never sent any to any labels as my job was very demanding time wise and would not be able to tour. Formed '9 volt gimmick' in boston in 2002 with a few people, found a drummer, played shows together for a year before our drummer just vanished without a trace. Band broke up after that and I left for NM in Feb 2004. Made friends with a few musicians, made another demo in 2005, joined legendary Albuquerque punk band 'Beefcake in Chains' in 2005. Went from being the bass player, to being the drummer, to being full time 2nd vocalist. Began writing songs for Beefcake and playing shows regularly as well as playing one-off Amish Noise shows. In 2007 became rhythm guitarist in addition to 2nd lead vocalist for Beefcake and in Oct of 2007 went on the first AMISH NOISE tour. 1 person, myself, did all the booking, driving, played all the instruments, lugged all the gear, etc. Had some good times, met some good people, made absolutely nothing when compared to what I spent on gas (+$450 in gas vs. +$20 in merch and/or payment from clubs/bars). Mostly traded my merchandise for food and/or a place to sleep. Tour ended at the end of Nov 2007 with a return to ABQ show with Beefcake in Chains. 2008: Beefcake had troubles finding a drummer, while work was preventing me from doing Amish Noise shows as well. Still managed to play here and there with both bands, even playing an opening set as Amish Noise and a closing set with Beefcake at times. Best show ever was June 2008 in Pueblo, CO. Very enthusiastic crowd, had an excellent time, made more money at that show then I did at any show Ive ever played in any state. And the show was free, only suggested donations. Now looking to continue Amish Noise, record a proper album, find others to create other bands and make some loud music. 2009: End of 2009 i added 2 new members and made a 3 piece. Started playing shows in western new york area 2010: June 2010 - amish noise officially became a 4 piece with a real human drummer. continued to play more shows in the western newyork area and michigan region. 2011: Recorded 1st ever studio EP's, continue to play live, booking tour for march 2012.
