Why this name?
I wrote my name on a slip of paper and pulled it out of a hat.
Do you play live?
I'm looking to... *ahem*
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It causes a musical diaspora while simultaneously hurting the musicians whom it grants exposure, or at least those on major labels. This isn't what *I* think, it's just a fact. Artists on major labels get paid sh*** wages as it is, so it could be said that stealing their music impacts them in an even more negative way than it does their labels, who remain wealthy from the outset. I don't believe that music should be made purely for profit; I create it out of a love of writing and performing; on the other hand, major-label musicians should be seen for what they are: employees of the label. I'm not saying I don't use p2p programs to download albums I want or that I'm against file-sharing. I do, however, believe that people should at least be informed of the fact that they *are* stealing by doing this. If I were Lars Ulrich and (all debate about the real purpose of music aside) my next paycheck depended on the massive sale of the new Metallica record, I'd be pissed off about losing money on it too, so it pisses me off when people get all up in arms about the guy trying to save what little profit he receives. Who cares if it *does* add up to millions in the end; the bottom line is he worked for it and you didn't. However you might feel about the ethics of stealing, you can't claim that the term's application is income-dependent.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes; I want to join the MTV2 rotation ranks so I can be amongst such "greats" as Fall Out Boy and Nickelback. Now, where did I put that barf bag...
Band History:
I played some stuff. Then I played some more stuff. Apparently I was known as part of The Enlightened Monkeys and later Burning Michigan when I played this stuff. After this, I played some more stuff with The SS Shooters (http://www.soundclick.com/thessshooters) and now-defunct group The Zillionaries. Most recently, I've been collaborating with musician/audiologist Dave Rice on several recording projects and live gigs under the guise of "The Fuc King(s)". *
