BIG BALD HEAD ENTERTAINMENT is the newest independent label out of Columbus, Ohio...but serving the Midwest. BIG BALD HEAD ENTERTAINMENT (BBH) has a very hot roster of artists and is growing to add more talented artist to the label. We have current releases on EKLYPZ (pronounced eclipse), Herb J aka Phill' In Hard and PRIME aka THE TALENTED MR. LINDSEY. Other upcoming artist releases are F.O.R.C.E., Ronnie Briggz and TULZ. Be on the lookout for nothing but hip hop with flavor. The basics...beats and rhymes.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live anywhere we can. Whatever the occasion, we'll do our thing. We've done spots at Elbows, located in Dayton, Ohio where we rip on the regular. We blessed the stage at the 10th Annual Hip Hop Expo which took place in March in Columbus, OH. As far as special moments, just the reaction from all different types of people into our music. We ain't gangster/hardcore...but we got them gangsta/hardcore cats lovin' our stuff. We ain't bling flossy, but we got the big ballaz lovin' our shit. We ain't backpack, super underground, but we got the skateboard white kids lovin' our shit. Those are special moments to me.
Your musical influences
Everything and everybody influences our music and what we do. But we are mostly influenced by that golden era of hip hop. You know, from like 1987-1994. Where beats and rhymes were the key to a hit record.What equipment do you use?
I use my bread and butter joint the Ensoniq ASR-10 Sampling Keyboard. Other than that, a basement full of records and 1 very creative mind. I don't have an MPC, but I can freak my ASR to sound like one. I have all the other computer gizmos as well, but I really don't bother with them too much. Makes it too easy.Anything else?
