Band/artist history
Blaze : At the age of 15 I began writing. it wasn’t to serious I never saw me as a rapper I wanted to be a b-ball player it was something on the side. In 99 I got my own computer and through some net boards (Streets Stylez / Hip Hop Future) I began working with MikDub I remember him showing me the ropes. I learned how to record on my computer got all the programs and the basic and I started Nefariouz Muzik (Blaze, MikDub, Excalibur) our first song Nefariouz Nightmares became the theme song to my life’s soundtrack. It wasn’t the greatest song but it kept me hungry and I went on like that for a few months Nef. Muzik didn’t do much after that a track here and there then probably the best thing to my music career happened I lost the net it kept me focused on just getting better i no longer had my partners so I was on my own an it was time to restart so Blaze Da Mic was born. 2001 my best friends decided to finally get on the mic. When we were younger we used to fuck around and record funny tracks over some headphones but he never saw it as anything but that. Well Blaze , Kaoz (now Mic) & Strap came together we spent that whole year making tracks after tracks at home we got a small fan base (mainly friends and friends of a friend) but it was our start. 2002 our first big steps towards recognition took place the year began with Blaze Da Mic set to present it’s first release since early attempts at a solo World Wide Compilation which featured the Single “We Wont Quit” by Automatic from Money Tree Entertainment Pushed over 100 copies before my computer crashed and we lost everything. The Compilation also featured The Whole Blaze Da Mic Camp , Denial , Cattfish , and more. A big step took place when I met Denial through his wife on a board and from there Denial became like a teacher. I think Denial did so much for me on the level to where he put me down on the rap game I learned what he knew about the business. 2003 from there we went on. D put me on Arizona Heat Vol. 2 we did 2 cuts for the album. I wont front and say we ripped it we had no computer and the way we had to record really didn’t let us do much but it was a successful failure you could say. It got our foot in the door got us a lot more recognition and it was our first album on shelves. At the age of 19 it was my dream coming true. Later in the year due to the problems recording we had nothing to show and our fan base began decreasing so we put together Street Currency a 9 track LP and gave it away as soon as we were able to record again. 2004 we come to the point of my life as we speak I see no obstacle to big I got the cards in my hand Expect Blaze & MIC "84 Playaz" to hit shelves this year and Blaze “Prophecy Complete : The First Step” to be more than just another releaseBDM
Anything else?
Blaze Da Mic doing big thangs every track we drop gets us a little bit closer to our goal and that is to crack this rap game wide open for all Arizona artist and the music scene period this is only the begining..
