This is about capturing what has been in my head for quite some time...being a singer/songwriter is not about having control but more or less focusing on the music and not the musicians. I perform the piano, drums, bass, guitar, lead vocals as well as backup vocals. My life has always had a soundtrack but now i'm finally finding the words to share my past experiences. Isn't this what music was supposed to be?

For those who have been patient, the first cd release of burke titled " Remnants " will be available in 2007.
Do you play live?
This is a solo project. All music is played by myself.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gave power back to the listener. Instead of corporate control, musicians can share their capturings instead of hoping for mainstream format.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The difference now in my life is that I am not a starving artist...hence, my appetite is for taste, not hunger.
Your influences?
The legendary classics to the new age boomers. Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, older Pearl Jam, and yeah...even sounds of the 70's and 80's.
Favorite spot?
The states are waiting for me to claim as a favorite....heh!
Anything else...?
So here we go…the next step after capturing…setting them free. To what extent these songs may reach…or to those ears who have been anticipating this…please keep them safe for me. They are my children with astonishing spirits.

greetings Burke,
what great songwriting, enjoyed your compositions, and an excellent vocal ability to boot.
enjoyed my stop over, loved the added orchestrations to.
I'll stop in again,

see ya

Hi Burkes!! :-)

It appears you and I have something in common.......we write personal lyrics. You ARE VERY GOOD at expressing your songs. My lyrics are very dry. (THAT, we don't have in common.....LUCKY YOU) Anyway, I really liked all of your songs. You can "BELT" out those lyrics, too. Instrumentally ALL was GREAT. I really liked the contrast of the overall song and the lead guitar in "Crisis". Ya caught me off guard...very nicely. Keep in touch, dude!! :-)

have i told you lately...that you rock? wink ;)
Just had a listen to Girl, good track... listening to Labeled now...
Hey Man...

Just thought I'd stop by for a "listen" ...and was pleasantly impressed! You got it going on...and I really identify with your introspective thinking and spiritual take on stuff. Very kewl! Glad I made it here! Keep On Rocking!

Hugs...Mike (NAV)

I'm at a loss for words. I always knew you had an incredible talent within. I'm glad you have finally found a way to share it with everyone. Keep up the great work!
G'day Burke!!!
Thanks for dropping by my tunes... glad you enjoyed them...
I've been warned not to pump your ego too much, but what the hey... your tunes sound as good 'down under' as im sure they do right side up... awesome...
I particulaly enjoyed 'Crisis'... it has a great feel about it, and sincerity, which is always a bonus... look forward to hearing more...
Hi Burke,
Just been listening again to "Girl"
Man I love songs like this, and your vocals are superb.
Please be sure to let me know when you post any new stuff.
Carol.
Hey Burke,
I remixed nearly all my tracks in the last week or so due to the discovery of a new pre-amp setting. It made a huge difference i thnk. If you get a chance could you listen to a few and see how your ear rates them.

In the meantime i'm just gonna play your entire playlist (cause it's awesome) ;-)

Mark
Wonderful song in HHS19 - "Girl" - well done smile :)
Hi John..

Thanks for the plug on the board. I appreciate it.

I absolutely LOVE "Girl". It really speaks to me. I even played it for my 18 year old daughter because I knew it would grab her.

If I ever could sing that song it would be an honor.

Take care

Michael Stone
