Chawly RocWel is the newest up and coming artist out of the Midwest. Balzing the streets since 99', RocWel is on the grind to set the bar for the middle of the map. A member of the Kansas Gutta Boys, RocWel set out as a solo artist to attain notiriety for his fellow group members. An emcee as well as a producer, RocWel is shooting through the galaxy at full speed in a quest to attain your ear drums.
Band/artist history
Chawly RocWel has been terrorizing stages since the late 90's as a member of the KGB. Only recently has he decided to venture off to the left and go solo. He's still currently a member of the KGB and plans on recording more albums with them. He started rhyming at the age of 12 freestyling and battling with local artist. RocWel picked up producing around 98' and since has been lacing tracks for local and regional artists.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
"I play live any chance I get at any venue that's available. There's nothing like playing live because you can actually vibe off the audience. When your in the studio you have to radiate your own vibe but when the crowd is riding the wave it just recipricates. Every moment is a special moment."
Your musical influences
"My musical influence is music itself. There's numerous musicians that inspire and too many to name. I like hip hop, jazz, blues, rock and roll, r&b, soul, electronica, etc. I like to listen to music and I don't like to catergorize it because inspiration can come from any where.

I got an appetite for rhythm music's food for the soul// and it flows through my veins and sets the mood in my pulse// i inhale and my heartbeat echoes through my bones// and the melody is layered through the skin with the tones// and it moves me deep through the flesh and the muscle// i exercise my mind cuz i was blessed with the hustle// from the roots of ancestors that did their best through the struggle// i speak freely there's no reason to speak easy// i spread the wealth there's no reason to be greedy// cuz knowledge is priceless you betta know what your right is// i gotta keep it righteous and inspire your mind and keep your soul enlightened// what's music to you?// is it the jazz, be-bop, hip hop or the blues// soul, rock and roll or the 70's funk// we can connect on 1 thing no matter where we're from// and that's music.......
