Band History:
As Puerto Rican native, Dj Soundwav's musical taste buds were first exposed to the rich sounds of salsa, plena, bomba and the early stages of reggaeton in the late 80s early 90s . After relocating with his family to multi-cultural Miami in 1991, he was then introduced to many other genres of music. Growing up in the church, his spiritual roots grew deep with a passion for playing the best current tunes in his youth group, camp retreats and local parties. Tired of listening to the same mainstream message of sex, violence, drugs that plagues todays music scene, he wanted to share his new found passion with all his brothers and sisters that did not know the great variety of Godly music available to them. Years later, God would give him an opportunity he didn't even imagine could happen to him, to do just what he'd always dreamed he'd do... to become a discjockey...

That was then, and this is now... Dj Soundwav has been a part of major movements within the Christian underground scene. He's helped launch Christian clubs and events in South Florida and is now known for being an on-air personality on La Nueva 88.3fm on Fridays and Saturday nights.

Now-a-days, Dj Soundwav is also known by his design talents along with spinning at clubs and cafe's. If your a regular, christian event attendee, you might have seen his work already.

All in all Dj Soundwav sum's it up with this thought:
"We were created to worship our Creator, to sing His praise with music and dancing. We are musical beings; hence we cannot live without it. Whether you’re humming a tune while strolling through the park, taping your foot to beats you just can’t get out of your mind, nodding your head while stopped at a red light, you are surrounded by it. In fact, why do you think praise and worship is so important in your church? Because God delights in the praises of His people. Knowing this, God created the disc jockey. It is quite possibly the most under-appreciated yet one of the most important duties in the music scene. The disc jockeys role in the scene is to promote a positive environment through the God-given music placed in his hands. He is an ambassador for the artist and tool for the Almighty."
