FERROCIOUS aka Silver Shadow D is a emcee, producer, arranger, and recording engineer. He is a NW Hip Hop Legend who has worked with countless notable, local, and up and coming talent. He's one of the Best there is. People who have been blessed to work with him know it, and don't have a problem teling it to the next man or woman(unless they're hatin') Just know for now, he's worth giving a good listen to into, if not networking or working professionally with. OFFICIAL BIO IS BEING UPDATED. DOCUMENTARY TO FOLLOW

FERROCIOUS is for the most part a one man operation when it comes to the creation, recording, and arrangement of a good song. He can write music and lyrics for songs in the Rap, R&B, and Hip Hop/DanceHall music genres. He is virtually self taught, but has been schooled and mentored by some of the most respected and credentialed people in the field of music and entertainment. He is also a Recording Engineer who is capable of making master recordings that rival industry standard quality. He is definitley resourceful. He has aslo been revered by most of his peers to be the most energetic, present, professional, and talented individuals they have ever come across. That itself says enough. Might I add, his stage show hyptmotizes virtually any crowd he has had the opportunity to perform in front of. He's very talented as a music produce, creating tracks that are not only original, but from another planet altogether
Why this name?
Supporters of my muzik over the years would unanimously say "You are Ferocious on the mic" I was abliged for I knew deep down that was the response I desired. But my name originally was Silver Shadow D. That name was given to me by a friend who like the R&B group Atlantic Staars hit single "Silver Shadow", which is either talking about a type of rare individual, or the Classic Rolls Royce model. No one in my area had a name like that so I added the D and ran with it.
Due to short memories and attention spans these days, along with the desire to go with the original aka FERROCIOUS name that more reflects my pasion for this art and how I puts it down, I changed it to FERROCIOUS. Short and to the point.
Do you play live?
I play live any chance I can. Check my files and ask around....
I puts it down FOR REAL!!! and am very thankful to God for my talents.
FAVORITE MOMENTS: 1993-Bumbershoot Festival @ the Seattle Coliseum(now Key Arena). The line up was Naughty By Nature. I was the only opening act. The show was sold out. 16,000+ screamin' fans right?, but this time you're at home so at least a few hundred to few thousand of that # know you, or have heard about you. The rest seeing you for the first time. On top of that.....BEGGIN' FOR MORE like i'm #1 on Billboard, or in regular rotation on MTV/BET.
The show was of the chain and people still talk about it 10+ years after the fact. Like it just happened yesterday.
I also spent some time on tour with Sir Mixalot(1990 a few shows, and Baby Got Back tour) did confrences like the classic Jack Tha Rapper(93)by chance, due to Tupac knowin the stage manager, he got him to pull some strings to get us put on. C-Black(seatle ,wa)get al the credit for that move. While he was putin it together, I was coming down an escalator with the rest of my crew when C yelled from below "we on in 10 minutes Silv" I came there on a plane ticket, homies, my DAT, and NOTHING but hopes of geting to rock the mic. GOD IS GOOD. I went on right after Awesome Dre(Detroit Underground Legend) and rocked it TUFF. If you're reading this... I stil remember you bigin me up FAT JOE, MELLE MEL, KID CREOLE( GrandMaster Flash & The Furious Five), Naughty, Big Stretch & Pac(RIP).
I've opened up for everybody from E-40 to Sinead O'Connor. Many memories. I'm seasoned like cayenne pepper man. I stay hot!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It alows and artist like my self(seasoned), and start up artists(rookies) a chance to do and go for self instead of waitin' on someone to give it to them. It's the way of the future and the future is NOW.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they came knocking.
I'm past the stage of seeking it out, or hoping to get signed. These days it seems you're geting a deal once you've proven yourself, sometimes above and beyond normal limitations of a "Starving Artist On A Budget" Majors ned insurance theys get their investment back and some. it's not JUST about your talent.
That's cool cuz that's bizness, but don't sleep on a goldmine(real talent) because he or she can't afford to manufacture, promote, and tour and album. OR, acomplish all of the above and not sell enough albums to meet Label "X"'s signing requirements.

Equipment used:
Anything I can get my hands on. You know, there was a time when that question and the answers to it really made a difference. I'm old and newschool at the same time. I can grab My Korg Trinity Pro X, Alesis QS, Yamaha CSX, or E-MU module, Bang you over the head with one or all combined linking them Midi USb, OR, just clik on my Acid 4.0 and choose thru Gigabytes of folders and chose my weapons that way. When I get Cubase SX3, i'll be doing ALL OF THE ABOVE at any given time/session. I have pretty good engineering skillz, doin a damn god job on my Mackie Board w/HR 824 Monitors to match. A few other things here and there. Can't give away ALL the secrets, right? Oh Yeah, I'm a DJ too, so turntables and cd players come into play also.
Anything else...?
I've been compared to countless artist. I believe that is because at all points of my music experience i've been inpired by many. I've listened to ALOT of music!! Those inspirations come out while in the creation of my songs sometimes. That's why I feel I've been compared to other artist. No one has ever said "You sound just like.....". Only "You remind me of....". I'm confident....OVERALL, I sound like no one but FERROCIOUS
