Welcome to my solo jazz guitar page where I post my latest try outs in solo jazz guitar. These are all practices for a planned project to record and publish a solo album. I hope you'll enjoy listening to the music here as much as I did playing it eventhoughthings are not perfect.
My influences are to diverse to mention here, basically I listen to almost anything and very often pick up what I like. For this page it would be appropriate to mention Joe Pass, Barney Kessel, Bucky Pizzarelli, Herb Ellis and of course Klaus Flenter: the Dutch giant of chord melody.
I have always loved older style players. Lately I have been concentrating more on playing solo. It is so challenging and such a reward. I am a plick player and even though hard when playing solo I will persist that for the upcoming period. It's not perfect but hey, I love doing it and love to share it with you all out there.
Let me know what you think of what you hear. I am always open for suggestions. Be sure to go and have a listen at my other soundclick page at www.soundclick.com/johnjazzguitarstuff.
For booking info mail me at johnuitv_music@msn.com or go to wwww.bandsforhire.co.nz and get some information there. I am available for solo, duo, trio, freelance studio work private teaching and workshops on various kinds of music.
