Formally know as Young'n.
-Biography
"Out of all the talented [artists] I have came across in my time in this industry with Murda Mamis Entertainment, Killer Boys Club, and my short time in radio; I have never heard a flow or delivery that could touch Lethal Illness (L.I.)'s brilliance of Hip Hop. It's an exciting journey for all of us at the Killer Boys Club and for all of the bystanders to see how this New York lotus is going to bloom. Forget the gimmicks and ever changing style of so many MCs before him, L.I. has what it takes to gain fans and be on top with [only] the simplicity of his job, rapping. I dare anyone to make a comparison to any MC now and they will not stand on the same level as L.I. Words can not describe how fascinating it is to know that he is going to embark on an adventure of a promised career. The dream of late New York rapper Notorious B.I.G. was to have a super-group named 'The Commission', that would consist of some of the best rappers in the industry. On behalf of the Killer Boys Club we are proud to say we have [discovered] the beginning of The Commission."
Andre Dagger - Killer Boys Club.
For one to have years of experience as a lyricist, MC, engineer, web designer, label owner and now starting in production is one to be clearly looked as an entrepreneur, but having all that experience at only the age of seventeen is phenomenal. Garett Southerton better known by stage name Lethal Illness (formerly Young'n) is that Long Island, New York born and raised entrepreneur who has been killing the Myspace freestyle charts in the past year. L.I.'s most recent project "Soul Purpose" Mixtape (released under Young'n) featured underground hits such as "20 for 20" and "Getting Over It". "Soul Purpose" was such success despite the fact it was only recorded with a computer microphone due to L.I.'s studio being under construction and lack of funding. In the past, L.I. has reached as high as number one in New York and number three in the world on the Myspace freestyle charts, dominating many famous artists with no friend adding software. Just pure promotion of the music Myspace player on multiple sites.
Currently, Lethal Illness is preparing for his up-and-coming project "Story of My Life" which will be his first in studio mixtape. The "Story of My Life" mixtape is expected to release mid 2009. "Story of My Life" consists of true Hip Hop in its most lyrical and realest form with stories, struggles, and real freestyling. Expected featured artists as of now are MoSs A.D., Epik, and Tuffy. As for producers it has been stated that 2Deep (Anno Domini), VTZ, Hala-X (Shadowville), and MoSs A.D. play a bigger role in credits.
After always living a life of Hip Hop the dream began almost 8 years ago in the battling scene. For years, L.I. dominated text and vocal online battles along with fellow MC, Tuffy. In 2005, L.I. decided it was time he move in as an artist and not just a battle MC. Soon there after he established his own record label, Spitting Fire Records. Under the labels near 3 year run, before being terminated due to artist inactivity and legal issues, Spitting Fire had near 12 artists in all (including new artist that were never officially introduced).
"Hip Hop and music are the only things in my life that can't be taken away because they are me. In light of that I will always remain true to myself and true to the only thing I can count on, me.", said L.I. It isn't hard to see that L.I. is not just another artist trying to make a quick buck or create a fad. L.I. is trying to give a piece of his life that he connected with and helped him become whom he is to people who can relate to the struggle. Anyone can be a rapper but only few can be a lyricist and MC, Lethal Illness is one of those few in that dying breed.

Why this name?
Well it was a name derived from Mine, Moss, and Tuffy's ideas. They both were thinking of names to give me and I personally wanted something that initialized where I am from and we all had a little contribution to it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I can actually get a fair deal.
Band History:
So much history. From Reacted Records to my very own label Spitting Fire Records to no label to the name change.
Your influences?
Real sh*** none of this new garbage, only one or two put out decent mainstream right now.
Favorite spot?
New York and my studio.
Equipment used:
Too much to list the studio equipment.
