My name is Mike Fisher...but you can call me 'Fish'.
I was the Worship Arts and Media Pastor at The Caring Place (previously Calvary Temple) in Indianapolis from January, 1991 through the end of August, 2021.
I played keyboards and trumpet for Southeastern University traveling groups, and keyboards for Tim Miner Band, Priscilla Engle Band and a coffeehouse band called Rescue. Following that I began coordinating worship and playing with worship teams at my church. The church asked me to come on staff in January of 1991.
I played live at The Caring Place in Indianapolis ( https://www.caring.place ) for nearly 40 years as a volunteer and as a staff member.
I have been happy doing what I've wanted to do all of my life. God is good. Special moments included seeing people entering into praise and worship, and knowing that somewhere during the course of the service...God's presence will be felt and lives will be changed for eternity.
I have been influenced by a wide variety of music styles and musical artists. There are too many to name here. I am always listening and I am always learning.
Some of my current gear includes the following:
