"(sarcastic) Who cares if what they write sounds like utter garbage, so long as it's 'original' enough to be studied and bullsh***ed about by other academics? 'I wrote a concerto for upside down bicycles and a aluminum garage doors! Oh, and I also have a water chime and thunder sheet solo!'" -Leo/Twilight 2008

"Being blunt and telling them what is bad about their music encourages them to strive to improve it. Or you could always lie, say it's perfect, and they will continue producing the same results..." -SaxxonPike 2007

Why this name?
I felt that it was best to keep a name for myself in two ways: one for music, and one for my other personal interests. That way, it's easier to find what you're looking for. So, Sanxion7 was born. I'm not entirely sure how I thought of this name, to be honest.
Do you play live?
Currently, I am practicing live play, utilizing my Roland beat box as a fader box. But it's not much different than how electronica is really played live: by switching on and off a few sequences to a background track.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's an easy way to transport my music. Simple as that. If you want to hear it, even when you're on 56k, you can. If you want to take it with you on the bus, in the car, on the subway, while jogging, even on the plane... you can. However, the MP3 format is fragile in that it's made internet piracy of music easier.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
With the shape of things now in the record business, I'd say it's probably more appealing to do music on a short term contract basis. Maybe one or two songs for a trance compilation or a game or even a movie, maybe license a few out for some DJ mixes, whatever.
Band History:
I tracked music in FastTracker II format from 1997-2002 using the name "SaxxonPike". After the move to Windows XP, the FT2 software no longer worked. Frustrated, I migrated to FL Studio. Actually, it worked out very well! In 2004, I decided to go with a name change as I wanted to separate my music from my actual online username. Since the release of Gargoyle, I have been using "Sanxion7" as an artist name. Nowdays, I am attempting to learn Propellerheads Reason.
