Walk Right In

The Rooftop Singers hit from 1962 during the folk music craze. This time I duplicated the original by detuning my 12-string Takamine a half stop to G# using A fingering as Eric Daring did.

Story behind the song
Eric Darling and Bill Svanoe each played matching Gibson D-45 12-strings played in unison. I recorded three separate tracks of 12-string, added bass and some percussion. Pretty Lynne Taylor sang the melody in the original but no way could I match that sweet voice! This song is respectfully dedicated to the memory of Lynne, Eric, and Bill, The Rooftop Singers.
Lyrics
[Guitar Intro] Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin' Do you want to lose your mind? Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Walk right in, sit right down Baby, let your hair hang down Walk right in, sit right down Baby, let your hair hang down Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin' Do you want to lose your mind? Walk right in, sit right down Baby, let your hair hang down [guitar interlude] Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin' Do you want to lose your mind? Walk right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on Daddy, let your mind roll on
