Rock/ Guitar Rock - Actually this was back in 1995. I was driving in my car listening to that Jimi Hendrix song and the Lord gave me words to change in the lyrics to express a problem in the Body of Christ. These lyrics after being changed but keeping some of its structure fit in to a song we were doing in Christian Raw Dog. God has a way of doing things like that to me at times. Actually there is scripture that talks about those the Lord sets in the watchtower to look over His body and sound the warning of the approaching enemy. The 4 horsemen are in the book of revelations and are coming or are already here. The church basically is sleeping and ignoring the warnings. So those lines are very scriptural. This was not inspired by Jimi's song but rather the Holy Spirit to speak to His Body, this is why I called it the protest song because many are not hearing what the Spirit is saying to the churches. The dogs are the hierarchy who do not know there place but love to exalt themselves over Gods people, they love the places of honor.
You And I
The Protest Song
There must be some way out of this
Said the sinner prophet to the King
Evil men bring so much confusion
And you won't give me no release
Woo, woo yea, for the Dog's
have had their day.
There's no reason to get upset now
Because the truth has been exposed
For there are many here among us
Who feel that church is but a joke
Woo, woo yea, for the Dogs
have had their day.
But you and I, we've been through this
And the harlot is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
For , the hour's getting late
Woo, woo yea, for the Dog's
have had their day.
lsaiah21:5-9 Revelation 6:1-8
Sitting up here on the watchtower
Certain things come into view
Horses and riders are approaching now
And God's refining fire begins to burn
Woo, woo yea, for the Dog's have
had their way.
For the new order,
God's order is on it's way.
