Hip Hop General

Three60 hails out of the infamous 6th borough, Newburgh, New York (NBNY). Originally a native of the birthplace of Hip Hop, (the Bronx, NY), Three60 moved with his family to Newburgh (aka Now Born) at the young age of 9 where he has lived since. Undoubtedly his creativity and passion for the artform of Hip Hop had greatly been influenced during his 9 years in the Boogie Down, despite his young age. Three60 began rhyming at the young age of 14 where he along with a junior high classmate (Jimbo) formed the group known then as the S.L.A. (Silent Lyrical Assassins). Soon after losing contact with Jimbo, Three60, (who at that time went under the rap name of OMC) met up with another Newburgh area rapper, the Goldyn Chyld, and the two together formed a group carrying the same name, the S.L.A. As a duo, the two performed at the annual Show and Prove concert held by the Nation of Gods and Earths in 2005; a prominent stage where the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Killah Priest, Brand Nubian, among many others have performed.

True to his name, Three60 gives you a little bit of everything in the booth. Whether its just straight up raw, hardcore spit for the streets, a political revolutionary track, an ill storytelling vibe, or a story appealing (sometimes NOT so appealing) to the ladies, Three60 gives you a razor sharp picture through his words and allows the listener to see how versatile and well rounded he is as an artist. His passion for mc’n is very easy to see by just observing his devastating flow & delivery along w/ his incredible lyricism. Three60’s fan base continues to grow the moment a listener takes the time to well. LISTEN! For those people who are sick and tired of these various closed-minded, “cloned”, so-called mc’s with no style and no originality, trying to sound like everyone else, ruining the creative aspect of Hip-Hop, Three60 is definitely a satisfying meal for your taste buds. Dinner’s ready!

Band/artist history

I began writin' rhymes in the middle of a 9th grade english class back in '97. I was 14 at the time, and was heavily influenced by a number of artists during that period. I was a fiend for the shit, writing every day, like full length pages. That same year i formed a group called the Silent Lyrical Assassins (the S.L.A.)with one of my man's i went to school wit by the name of Jimbo. After losin contact with him i kinda went dormant with it. But by 2000 i resurrected my art and reformed the group, this time with another one of my man's from school, The Goldyn Chyld, and we've been a crew on and off since. I decided in 2005 to start pursuin' my own shit simply because i felt like i was stagnatin' my Self and my own movements due to continuin' waitin' and relyin' on others who weren't as dedicated as i was to this shit. So that brings me to where i am today!

Have you performed in front of an audience?

I've performed live on a few occasions at a few local venus in upstate NY as well as in Harlem at the annual Show and Prove concert for the Nation of Gods and Earths.

Your musical influences

Too many to name. This would be an endless list. I'll just go off the top, but i know i'll forget a few..

Wu-Tang Clan (the greatest group of all time, hands down), Killarmy, Gravediggaz, Gangstarr, Killah Priest, La the Darkman, Nas, AZ, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, The Roots, Outkast, Goodie Mob, KRS-1, Rakim, Slick Rick, Public Enemy, Kool G Rap, Brand Nubian, Busta Rhymes, Redman, Boot Camp Click, dead prez, Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Planet Asia, Ras Kass, Jedi Mind Tricks, Canibus, Saigon, The LOX, M.O.P., Onyx,......can't forget my NBNY soldiers: Qardan, Vest, Goldyn Chyld, DJ T-Nyce, Born Genius, my man Kingster out in the BX...........i can literally go on forever, so i'll stop there!!

Anything else?

Whateva u do, don't go against the grain. That's what the pioneers of this Hip-Hop shit taught and stuck to, and that formula that they established hasn't changed. I'm stickin' to the script! For those of you out there who are alike-minded, i wake up each day and step into the booth everytime for people just like you!!
