Rapper "YungN N Da Building" (born Nathaniel Turner), was raised in the inner city of Memphis, Tennessee. YungN was raised alongside his brother by his single mother. Life was not always easy for YungN and his family as they moved from apartment to apartment in the local Memphis area "White Haven", or as he calls it "Black Haven". A passion for music did not form early for YungN, his first love was a form of dance known to Memphis locals as "Gangsta Walking, or Memphis Jookin" which he began during his sophmore year at Hillcrest High School. After graduating high school, YungN did not go to college like the majority of his peers.
YungN worked several odd jobs but never found a content feeling performing them. After working for nearly two years, YungN decided it was time for a change. He signed up for the United States Air Force delayed entry program in December 2006. On April 16th of 2007, YungN was sent to Air Force boot camp in Texas. After he completed boot camp, he was sent to a specieal training located in Mississippi, and from there to Okinawa, Japan where he would gain his love for rapping and song writing. While in Japan and after meeting a few other rappers, YungN found a love for writing 16 bar rap verses. It wasn't until January 21st 2009 rapper YungN N Da Building came to be.
On that day, YungN wrote and recorded his first song titled "Um Cool" and has been writing and recording relentlessly every since.
