https://www.commonwealthresounds.com/news/to-her-majesty-queen-elizabeth-ii/ Please visit The Commonwealth Resounds Website to listen to the song "MAJESTY". I was commissioned to provide the lyrics for their official commemorative song for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during the national mourning and across the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Resounds are a charitable organization who organize music events & collaborations across the Commonwealth, often working on behalf of the Royal Family on special occasions, liaising with the late Queen's Pageant Master Bruno Peeks & Master of Music Judith Weir. Their patrons include Patti Boulaye, Kuljit Bhamra, Eugene Skeef & Tunde Jegede who are not only accomplished musicians but have a wealth of experience in the music industry & beyond. The song was performed by The Purcell School For Young Musicians (aged 10-18) and King Charles III is a patron. Their teachers, alumni & the pupils had just 6 days to learn, rehearse, perform, arrange & record the song. They did a magnificent job in very sad, emotional & challenging times. The vocalist on the song is former Purcell pupil Gayatri Nair who is now studying at The Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, England. Noah Chiari (aged 17) arranged this version of the song and coordinated the musicians & technical staff during recording. Paul Whitfield, a worship leader & singer/songwriter from the North of England wrote the melody. Alison Cox OBE, Commonwealth Music Consultant & Founder of The Commonwealth Resounds commissioned the lyrics and melody, and guided the performing and recording process. The song has already proved extremely popular in the UK and has been featured on BBC Radio including 5 Live (drive time) where they played the song & interviewed Noah Chiari; they mentioned Rodrica Rudge as the lyricist and Noah stressed that he had been given "great" words and music to work with. The presenter was very complimentary regarding everyone involved. The song has also been featured on local radio stations across the country. There have been many messages and complimentary feedback from The Master of the King's Music, Members of Parliament, the Head of the Commonwealth Secretariat, radio DJ's and the media. The song is being sent to 800 choirs across The Commonwealth so that they are able to perform it. Although it was a challenge and huge responsibility (with much correspondence & late nights!), it was a fantastic experience to work with a team of people from all ages and nationalities. Alison Cox OBE was a superb coordinator & very attentive to the input & suggestions of the lyricist throughout. Everyone pulled together to bring about something we hope will be a fitting tribute to the longest reigning Monarch. Hey Rodz, thanks for the listen and comment and also for info on KJ who has raised $2m to date for various charities of which some have links to her commercial activity - it's good to see ppl who have amassed billions in a very short period giving some of that to aid good use regardless of how small in comparison. Now, for that orange jumpsuit, no sorry can't forgive either of them for that, lol! crime against humanity, ha!

Hi Rodrica, I'm very happy to have been able to convert all of the Silent Network cassette album, Ice-Cream Philosophy, into WAV files and 320kbps mp3 formats. It's all safe for now. Listening back to it again after all this time has been quite an enjoyable experience. Oh, how we tried back then! Silent Network were probably my favourite of all the bands that I was a member of ,in my now long gone 'gigging years'.
Home recording music technology was 'basic', compared to what we have in 2026. However, this old album comes across well. It's very much of its era but hey, I was there.
It's a FREE download album.

Hi Rodrica, hoping that all's well with you. It's been a long complicated journey in getting to this point but I've finally managed to convert the Silent Network cassette album (Ice-Cream Philosophy) to a good and hopefully lasting digital format.
This is just how we sounded back in the day.
I hope that you enjoy it. At last, the Silent Network material is safe...yippee.
I'll upload the whole album on the next few days.
Then I hope to concentrate on writing some new material of my own again.
Have a great week.
