God bless you! My email address is dmccomb@champmail.com . Anyway... I am a pro-level guitar & bass player & I have played over 40 years. I play in variety of styles, melodically, cleanly and tastefully, I believe. I play a 6 String Electric bass, an American made Fender Strat, a Taylor steel string acoustic and a Takamine nylon string acoustic. Although I like just playing plain bass or guitar, I am also very much into songwriting and playing "midi guitar." Midi guitar is where I can play my guitars and/or various keyboard sounds separately or together on my guitars utilizing Roland GK2a hexaphonic pickups. So because of this, I can say to you that I can play, or should I say emulate almost every instrument known to man! Sonically this is easy through the use of keyboard modules.... but learning the technique used to make each instrument sound realistic is harder. My guitar style is very melodic. I like playing clean and also every other way.
One thing I should tell you... and I consider this a plus... but you might not like it. I have been a devout Christian for many years. I am not really into being around any kind of drug use at all any more. I am very evangelistic, but non-judgmental and love to meet people and jam. I am already in a polished Christian outreach band, with bookings all of last year (2008). I am still interested in playing more and love writing songs on keyboards. Please call me at (626) 975-0564.
I have a good musical ear, so I learn/adapt pretty quickly. I am a little bit old, I have a young image and attitude. I like almost all styles of music, and I have lots of pro gear. I my own 16 track recording/rehearsal studio, a big p.a. and a reliable van. I also play 6 string electric bass at a pro-level. During the 70's I played bass professionally in clubs for a living. For the last 25 years I have worked graveyard shift M-F at UPS. I don't mind driving, particularly on the weekends, if things gel. I hope they do and I wish all of you well. God bless you.
I am a prolific songwriter also... but I can put that on the back burner if I have to in your band. I can submit to a leader or lead, if necessary.
The photo below is in a beautiful Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. Take care...
everyone... has influenced me in some way if I have heard them.
