"I'm not a master. I'm a student-master, meaning that I have the knowledge of a master and the expertise of a master, but I'm still learning. So I'm a student-master. I don't believe in the word 'master.' I consider the master as such when they close the casket."

Band/artist history

I end where i begin only to live again through the same struggle...

In 95' or 96' I started out making beats using a dual tape deck/recorder making loops. I graduated high school in 97' and got a job at a steel plant and used the money to buy some studio equipment. A Tascam analog 4 track recorder, a big ass Casio keyboard, which was nice and still is, and a small ass BOSS drum machine. I hated that drum machine, too limited, so I went and bought a ZOOM234 along with a Fostex digital 8-track recorder.

From that point once i got the hang of making beats, I would go out locally, on a bike, looking for people who could spit. I ran into "Maize" and "Pharaoh", they spit some shit, I spit some shit, later on "Kommon" and "Brasco" got involved along with Maize's' homie who left before we really got started and formed RedIye Productions...

Unfortunately in around 02 or 03 someone decided to help themselves to all of our masters, dat tapes and cd's, which was 2 albums and god knows how many songs and beats and some equipment. About 90% of all the beats i made then were all me, no samples, so yeah that shit hurt.

Anything else?

"...I used to love her" states Common, "she will be painfully missed." In the late 20th thru to the early part of the 21st century, Hiphop was in a staggering state, being manipulated and exploited by the "Big corporations," and began to drift towards a more closed or, narrow minded commercial audience... continued on pg. 911(Rumors section)
