I am here to make music for YOU.
Band/artist history
I started before I was born. My grandmother plays the piano and sings. She taught my father how to sing and he then taught me how to sing. I also had piano lessons as a child. I sang in a choir when growing up. Once in high school and in college I was rapping and writing my own music. Once my career was beginning, I made a few simple beats but mainly rapped or sang over other producers' beats/ instrumentals. I now write and compose my own songs completely.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I miss performing on stage. The last time I did was at church unless you consider an old music video I did a performance. I plan on returning to the frontline once the pandemic is over. Look for me soon!
Your musical influences
I look to God. When it comes to music, I look to Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, Jagged Edge, Usher, Boyz 2 Men, New Edition, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Teena Marie, and so many more. I would be here all day if I were to mention but I feel as though every musician I can thank for making music as I want to also contribute!
What equipment do you use?
I have a video on YouTube you can see to get an understanding of EVERY tool I have and use to make music. In short I have a great DAW, two mics, a mic stand, a recording booth, a big sound board, a preamp, midi keyboard, and more.
Anything else?
I love music, and music loves me as I feel it CHOSE me to bring you so much. Look for me EVERYWHERE! Also here is an interview I did as of late.... Music Mastermind Written by Marcie I definitely feel this is one of the things I was born to do - create music, said Orville Wright, the creator, producer and mastermind behind brands Oh Yeah Beats and Big O. Wright looks at music as a way to unite people so they can hear and feel the emotion. He aims for his creations to help people deal and cope with depression, and financial difficulties. He said it speaks to the blue-collar worker, ppl who want to be musicians themselves, and people who are from communities where they felt like a minority. The structure of my songs, the melody, the key, the lyrics and delivery is often welcoming and inviting, said Wright, who started in his high school years. When a lot of catchy songs were popping, I found myself making the extra effort to memorize the lyrics, he said, and then changing some of the lyrics to fit my own situations. He went from his teenage bedroom to the family room, to his own apartment, to now his house. With the moving and growing, and life changes, he said his ability to create music hasnt gone anywhere - if anything, its grown right along with him. When he remastered his first song in the late 90s, he felt like he had done so much work, only to realize he was tipping the iceberg. He started with Audacity (software) which his younger sibling introduced him to. Then at age 20, he bought his first $300 microphone. Add a few years and he has gear to afford him endless possibilities -- to create to the edges of his imagination. Now he is a full-blown producer, mixer, writer and total craftsman with his artwork. When asked 5 words that describe his music O said, Creative, Innovative, Inspirational, Authentic, Amazing. His word choice steeped in confidence, he said the uniqueness he brings isnt just his ability to produce and rap. I also have vocal ability and I like to challenge myself with different vocal ranges and use that on the choruses to my songs. Where to catch his music and his mic? So far, only online at YouTube.com and SoundCloud (Spotify?), but he is looking to hit local stages in the very near future. Im never going to let it go, said Wright. As long as I have the ability to come up with material, why hold that in? Oh Yeah
