Chasing Our Tails Chasing Our Tails
Almost was a band that spanned the 1990's and was a musical diary of the relationship between 2 people, a potted history of one mans journey through the 90's which was also to become an epiphany in many ways.
The original band may now be defunct, but the music lives on and there is a strong feeling that some of their back catalogue will be rerecorded by friends of the band.
Band/artist history
Almost... has it's roots in Coffee in Zurich, which dominated the underground scene in the 80's, but to a degree was so far underground that it rarely surfaced and like parts of the fossil records, is almost untraceable (bad pun intended). Whilst in the process of producing the Almost... body of work, the Three S's was born, which contributed to part of the work and then split off to persue and larger remit rather than the solitary recording of a single theme.
In the ealry days of this new Millenium, a son of Almost... rose from the ashes in the form of The Blaize, following a similar track to Almost..., but with a new diary to be written. The Blaize are still going at present.
Coffee in Zurich have recently reformed, as well as the Three S's. Both of these will borrow from the Almost... catalogue and at some stage there is a possibility of a joimt venture on some of the Almost... tracks.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
The music was written more as therapy than to be distributed, but with the Three S's and Coffee in Zurich looking to cover large parts of the works, then a live performance is something that may occur in the future
