Band/artist history
As a longtime Jazz music fan and listener feel the need to create something different from the music works done as a solo artist which has gone from Pop, Rock and Latin. After reading the autobiography from Maurice White founder of Earth Wind and Fire the idea of the name of the project pop up quick and that's why the 'Elements' came up. Where the '119' came was because in 1969, Earth Wind and Fire was created in the apartment 119 on a Building in Illinois.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes and to tell the truth, every performance is a special experience which lead to great memories and more where people goes to listen something smooth and sweet like the jazz music to spend a soft moment.
Your musical influences
In Jazz the main influences along the years has being Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons, Dave Koz, Chris Botti, Fourplay, George Duke, Stanley Clark, Kenny G and of course Earth Wind and Fire.
What equipment do you use?
I use Ibanez electric guitars with Boss and Behringer Chorus Ensemble and Ultra Chorus pedals. Ovation Applause Guitar with Nylon Strings and Casio Keyboards. Enough to let us create and release magical things.
Anything else?
Have created this project has being one of the best musical experiences which allow us to make different kind of melodies, rhythms and world sounds. I come from a Salsa musicians family which has played with Fania greats and mixing all this knowledge of genre wonderful things happens. All photos on our works are completely originals taken between our native Puerto Rico and New Jersey by Nancy Rosario.
