Divine Nightmare is the combinational efforts of Jason McMurtrey (All music) from the popular doom band Blood Legacy, And Mark Clausen (Vocals) from the bands Soul Inqusition & Long Since Dark. It's a balance of heaviness and dark rock that is much in the vein of bands like Katatonia & Sentenced. The band has been active sice the fourth quarter of 2004 and has been writing since 2003. Jason McMurtrey started Divine Nightmare in idea around 2003 when he began writing the material for the album "Sorrows of Dark" as an outlet to write different material outside of what he writes in the doom band Blood Legacy. After writing all the music & Lyrics, He brought in Mark Clausen to sing on the album for even more depth and completed work on the first of two Divine Nightmare Albums. The band is currently working on getting everything ready for release from Division 13 Records.Have you performed in front of an audience?Blood Legacy plays live and occasionally merits the forgoing of a Divine Nightmare song or two within it's set list. We love to play live and hopefully plan to do some material at a later time during some of the festivals that we are invited to on an ongoing basis.
