Hey Friends,
I am Evan Greer, a radical singer/songwriter originally from Boston. My songs roam from the romance of a trainyard to the frontlines of the class-war. My style is sort of aggressive folk.
I envision a world where people are free to live their lives in the way that they choose, and where our social interactions are based on love, mutual aid, and solidarity, rather than exploitation and greed.
My songs are for anyone who has ever envisioned such a world, anyone who has ever fought for one, and anyone who ever thought that one was impossible, but wished it weren't so.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Playing live is what I do! I got my start as a songwriter playing at protests and rallies in Boston. As a folk musician, I get most of my energy from the crowd. Right now I play out mostly around the Philadelphia area (including D.C., New York, Baltimore, etc.)
I especially enjoy playing benefit concerts for worthy causes and will always do so for free.
House shows are wonderful, so if you like my music, set one up in your house or apartment! Make a flyer, bring some friends, and you've got a show.
Your musical influences
Folk and folk-rock from the 60's and 70's. Modern political folk and folk-punk. Revolutionary music from all eras. Wobbly music. Union songs. Blues. Psychadelic Rock and Roll. etc. etc. etc.
What equipment do you use?
Martin D-15 electric acoustic.
Random harmonicas when they come my way.
M-15 government issue gas mask.
Brick.

verry good everything i listened to is awesome good work
and keep it up
I just listened to 'The Ballad of the Last Six Months of My Life' and I've gotta say that it's one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. Every now and then, there's one of those songs that gives you goosebumps everytime you listen to it and this is definately one of them. I can definately relate to this one. I'd love to see you play if you're ever in Baltimore.
