Jay Y Cess are a Puerto Rican Reggaeton duo, consisting of Pedro Jason Martinez (Jay) and Luis Roman (Cess). The duo is based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey where they have created their own independent group “Rabioso Musikâ€. They started their careers early 2007 and have been together since, having success performing at local night clubs, opening performances for artists such as Rakim y Ken Y, and Xtreme, then making appearances at the Atlantic City Puerto Rican Day Parade & the Latin Festival.
At the beginning of 2008 they headed to Puerto Rico to record their first Music Video of their single song, “Cada Vezâ€, which it was dedicated to their friend “Papo el Barbero†who passed early that year. Later in that year Jay Y Cess, prepared to record their first album which they titled “Las Fuerzas Especiales††translation †“Special Forcesâ€. The album was recorded in two weeks at their studio in NJ with producer Nostra who flew in from Puerto Rico and then mastered by Nestor Salomon in PR.
With little money for promotion as an independent duo Jay Y Cess’s Manager Alfredo Martinez and Producer Nostra managed to get their song “Fenomenal†(ft. Jo-Sel) airplay at the FM 96 in PR early in 2009. The Official Album Release Party & Performance on July 3rd 2009 was held at “Cuba Libre†located at “The Quarter†in the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. For their performance they invited artist “Young Leek†from Def Jam to come out and perform together their song “Baila†which they collaborated for the album. During the performance DJ Bebo blended the Baila song track with one of Michael Jackson’s track to remember and give respect to “The King of Popâ€, who passed away the week prior. The event was a success; Jay Y Cess performance was energetic and thrilling as they had Cuba Libre’s crowd on their feets...

El movimiento de Rabioso Musik, “Los Rabiosos†comenzà temprano en el 2007 cuando los artistas Pedro Jason MartÃnez “JAYâ€, y Luis RomÃn “CESS†se unieron para formar un dúo de ReggaetÃn. Tras no conocerse por mucho tiempo el dúo a establecido una buena amistad y ahora una arma que con el crecimiento musical y artÃstico van a llegar a grandes alturas. JAY Y CESS, son dos jÃvenes motivados, determinados, y creativos en sus carreras artÃsticas. Jay con sus experiencias militarÃas de la Guerra en Iraq y duras situaciones familiares, y Cess con sus experiencias callejeras, juntaron sus vidas y talento para formar el nuevo disco, “Las Fuerzas Especialesâ€, Producido por “Nostra Musikâ€.
Para Jay todo empezà cuando regreso de Iraq en el 2004. A pesar que siempre le a gustado la música urbana, se decidià a su carrera como artista a la edad de 24. Jay nacià en North Bergen New Jersey, y fue criado en Yauco, Puerto Rico. A la edad de 12 sus padres se divorciaron y para Jay fue fuerte aceptarlo. A los 16 aÃos de edad mientras terminaba su cuarto aÃo en New Jersey empezà a trabajar como barbero en una barberÃa local. Al graduarse firmo con el Army, donde luego fue activado para la guerra, y desde el 2003 al 2004 estuvo activo en Iraq.
Cess siempre tuvo una fuerte pasiÃn por la música urbana, pues fue criado por su familia musical. Cess nacià en Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, y fue Criado por sus padres en Puerto Rico y luego en Atlantic City, New Jersey. A los 19 aÃos de edad empezà su carrera cantando en las calles con sus amigos. La mayorÃa de su tiempo se mantuvo improvisando en las calles, y luego en los clubs.
JAY Y CESS, han sido un dúo conocido en muchos lugares dejando marcas en Atlantic City, Philadelphia, New York, y Puerto Rico. El SueÃo de JAY Y CESS es llevar la música urbana a otro nivel internacional buscando todo tipo de fanÃticos... de niÃos a jÃvenes a adultos..... Latinos, americanos, Europeos, etc..... Esperamos dejar un gran impacto en la mente de todos llevando el nombre de Los Rabiosos, JAY Y CESS, “Las Fuerzas Especiales†a un nivel mundial............

The Rabioso Musik movement all started early 2007 when the artists Pedro J. Martinez “JAY†and Luis Roman “CESS†became a duo of Reggaeton “Latin Urban Musicâ€. Though as one they have conquered a lot in the music industry since they began their commitment to Rabioso Musik. They have established a good relationship as good friends and now as artists. They are two young artists that work hard every day to accomplish better things in life, very vicious and focus in their careers as, JAY Y CESS, “Las Fuerzas Especialesâ€.
Jays’ passion for the music started when he got back from Iraq in 2004. Even though Jay always loved music, he dedicated to his music career as an artist at the age of 24.
