After a long night on stage the cowboy, hungry and tired goes to have a bite to eat at the kiosk on the fair grounds. Little girls are interfering while eating his Shepherds pie and pondering what they are thinking and hoping they will go away.
I wrote this song while playing a french gig in St Jovitte province of Quebec, Canada. There was a bunch of little girls hanging around the table where I was eating shepherds pie (Pate Chinois) it was 3 in the morning and I was tired after the show and hoping they's leave soon.
Another song I wrote while there was "Lucie ma belle"
Mon Pate Chinois (My shepherds pie little girl)
Laisse moi manger mon pate chinois
P'tit fille ta robe j'voie a travers
Tu sait q'a 'me donne plus d'affection
Mais mes 'tit chien i'll m'aime quand meme
Chorys: end.

Here's some sort of translation of the song and what it's about.
Let Me Eat My Shephers Pie Little Girl
Let me eat my shepherds pie little girl
You know I can see right through your dress
Oh! your so young and beautiful
But it's not what your thinking
I'm telling you love is not a toy to play with
Cause I still love my wife
And she's a very ambicious woman
Ah she's such a lady
You know she does'nt give me anymore affection
And you understand she does'nt love me anymore
It's a like a february of my years
And like tree that she'd it's leaves
Your little flirts are a comfort to me
As she put me aside on a shelf
I know you'd give me what I need
Cause i'm just a man I'm weak and could fall
When I come home from a tour
She sleeps all the time
Were burning the candle at both end
But my little dogs love me anyways
You know at my age you can't have me
Cause i'm old enough to be your father
Your grandfather even cause your so young
However I will not forget you
