A contemporary arrangement of the classic carol suitable for commercial use.
A unique blend of jazz, neoclassicism, expressionism and Spirit.
When God gives you a gift you have two choices: Use it for your own glory or share it for His glory. The latter is better.
Story behind the song
While working for the City of Sacramento and preparing music for the annual Christmas program, I arranged this setting of "Carol of the Bells" to test out the computer program I would be using to create practice tracks for the christmas choir I would soon be rehearsing.
Lyrics
Hark, how the bells, sweet silver bells
All seem to say "Throw cares away"
Christmas is here bringing good cheer
To young and old, meek and the bold
Ding dongy dong, that is their song
With joyful ring, all caroling
One seems to hear words of good cheer
From everywhere, filling the air
Oh, how they pound, raising their sound
O'er hill and dale, telling their tale
Gaily they ring while people sing songs of good cheer
Christmas is here!
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
On, on they send, on without end
Their joyful tone to every home
