Story behind the song
This is two songs put together, The Catch a Tiger part was originally improvised in a jam with myself and Karl Webb. The Trying to sound like The Beatles part was written by me separately.
Lyrics
Tapping a tune out on my telephone. Listening to The Rolling Stones, Trying to sound like The Beatles, The People's band. Drawing eye make-up on a picture of Moses. Listening to the latest effort from Oasis. Trying to sound like The Beatles the people's band. The people's band. Nana, nana, nana, nana, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, nana, na. Nana, nana, nana, nana, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, nana, na. Catch a tiger, catch a tiger, Learn hoe to play it, learn how to play it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah . Yeah, yeah, yeah. Take a tiger, take a tiger, and put it in, put it in. You've got t take a tiger, take a tiger, and put it in, put it in. Here I go singing that same old song. And here I am, just rolling along, (rolling along). Trying to sound like The Beatles, the peoples band, The People's band. Nana, nana, nana, nana, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, nana, na. Nana, nana, nana, nana, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, na, na, nana, na, na, nana, na. Catch a tiger, catch a tiger, Learn hoe to play it, learn how to play it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah . Yeah, yeah, yeah. Spike the spider, Spike the spider, He's got sharp incisors, sharp incisors. Spike the spider, Spike the spider, He's got sharp incisors, sharp incisors. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah . Yeah, yeah, yeah.
