the darker side of 'adam'...searing vocals and and a haunting, driving guitar hook...

Just five honkeys making indie rockpop
Adam recently completed a video for their song "OK to Dream", which was made a reality thanks to Columbus, Ohio film company, One Hoarse Town Productions. "Josef (Director Josef Salyer) is a genius filmmaker who we have been honored to work with on this project," stated Adam guitarist, Daniel Starcher. Adam's unique sound is often compared to U2, Depeche Mode, Sunny Day Real Estate and Radiohead. Tragic enough for Goth fans, pretty enough for pop fans and noisy enough for Fugazi fans, the band draws an audience that spans many ages and genres. With several national tours, 25 U.S. States, a Top 50 slot on the PAJ Charts, and a Top 40 mp3 on Rollingstone.com under their belts, Adam show no sign of slowing down. 2001 is poised to be their most exciting year yet. The band just completed a 28-day U.S. tour in February, and is preparing for an upcoming two-week tour of the North-Western US, and participation in the Levi's First Stage tour of SFX amphitheaters nationwide. For more information about Adam, and to learn how to order their new video, please contact management for the band at (614) 890-4218.

Story behind the song
"...Of course it is clear that in order to establish the true meaning of a function one must establish its limit. It is also clear that yesterday’s “dissolution in the universe” taken to its limit is death. For death is exactly the most complete dissolution of self in the universe. Hence: L = f(D), love is the function of death...That is why I am afraid of her; I struggle against her, I don’t want...But why is it that within me “I don’t want to” and “I want to” stand side by side? That is the chief horror of the matter; I continue to long for that happy death of yesterday. The horror of it is that even now, when I have integrated the logical function, when it becomes evident that that function contains death hidden within it, still I long for it with my lips, my arms, my heart, with every millimeter..."-from the book "we", by Eugene Zamiatin
Lyrics
love / my love / be still / tonight love / my love / hide these tears / behind your eyes love will break us down / beneath the weight / of our desires though we'd walk away / it can't destroy / the hope we breathe love / my love / is this what / we've been dreaming of / love / my love / hold on / hold on love will keep us weak / with tender lips / she drinks our pain / i am not afraid / of who i am / or who we'll be love will break us down / beneath the weight / of our desires though we'd walk away / it can't destroy / the hope we breathe love will keep us weak / with tender lips / she drinks our pain i am not afraid / of who i am / or who we'll be love
