Cane Murphy aka Redrum grew up in Stapleton, Staten island (Shaolin) and moved to section 8 housing where he was notorious for beatboxing & Sparking Freestyle cyphers on street corners. Murphy was known for his Irish wit & comedic story telling. Struggling through poverty, He turned to doing Graffiti to the point he was wanted by the Graff task force. In high speed chases with the police, Murphy was later picked up in a Narcotics sweep at the infamous South Beach Arcade. Turning his life around, He gave up everything and stepped into the Rap Game. He Made a name for himself performing over 200 times at clubs like "Club Speed", "The Remote Lounge", even performing for the Coast Guard. He toured around the United States with Grammy Award winning Recording Artist "Vernon Reid" & D.J Logic, performing at clubs like "the Fox" , "Troubador", "The Orange Peel" & "the Georgia Theater", as well as hoping on a track with "Slick Rick" on their album "Front end Lifter. Cane opened up for "Showbiz and A.G" at the First ever "Bronx Fest", with Hot 97 and Power 105 Fm, Hosted by Universal A&R "Fence". Cane's been Featured on Mixtapes Hosted by "Dj Vlad" ,"Dj Khaled", "Superstar Jay", "Coast2Coast Mixtapes", "Bedtyme 357", etc.. Press - Cane Murphy has been promoted and featured in magazines such as XXL, Rap Fanatic ,Peace Magazine (Canada) Online magazines Juniors cave, etc.. After surviving a Tragic accident and Reconstructive spine operation, Cane fought through constant pain to hit the Studio and record his Debut album "The Side You Don't See" in late 2010 with production from "Rockwilder" and D12's "Mr.Porter". His Debut Single was broke by "Fatman Scoop" and Fm Stations, college and online radio. His Debut Video "When I'm with You" Released in February, 2011 on Youtube - is getting incredible feedback and heart felt responses from fans. While awaiting a Dangerous 2nd reconstructive spine operation to get back to performing, He's hasn't stopped grinding.
