Story behind the song
I expanded instrumental interludes from one of the songs in my Christmas cantata Shepherds and Angels (setting American Christmas folk songs for chorus, vln & harp) into a violin recital piece (movement 2 in a set of three). Expressive, impressionistic, with a fragment of a waltz near the end.
