Experimental Sounds

Unconventional music from the periphery: avant-electronica, sound sculptures and progressive ditties. Exploring outside the mainstream since 1985, serving the public since 2003. (128kbps) Other projects featuring Richard Dunlap:

The newer trks (2006) primarily feature new material I recorded on Casio CZ-101 synth, treated and layered in Tracktion multitrack software. Also featured are vocal samples from . Tracks from 2004/2005 are remixes (done in Tracktion) of my earlier original material (Samba Quagmire also includes new material recorded 2005) Tracks from the 90's are remastered from the original stereo cassette "masters". These originals, and the others that were remixed in the '04/'05 trks, were recorded 1991-95 on the following hardware: Alesis MMT-8 sequencer, Tascam 8-trk cassette Portastudio, E-mu Proteus 1 and 2 sound modules, Casio CZ-1, CZ-101 and VZ-1 synthesizers, Alesis Quadraverb effects. All were "mastered" to stereo cassette originally, and years later those cassettes were copied to wav files.
