Story behind the song
I was the passenger in a truck when I was first a Christian and the Lord gave me these scriptures and I was impressed to put them into this song.
Lyrics
THE NEW JERUSALEM Revised And He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end" Revelations 21:6 There are kingdoms, many kingdoms from which to choose, But just one Kingdom, Jesus Kingdom Is the one to choose ! My Jesus ! My only Jesus ! He's the way; He's the truth; He's the Life. He can take you (John 14:6) He can place you in His kingdom (Yes He Can) And I saw, a new heaven and earth, (Rev. 21 :l) for the first one passsed away And there were no, no more tears (Rev- 21:4) just perfect harmony Then the City, that Holy City (Rev. 21:2) Descended from the heavens above And He carried me away In the Spirit (Rev. 21:10) (Yes He did) And I saw pure rivers of water (Rev. 22:1) Life, clear as crystal Proceeding out of the throne of God rivers of Living Water Now the tree, that Tree of Life (Rev. 22:2-3) The fruit of it healed the nations and there shall be no more, no more curse (No, there won't) No more curse (No there wont) Alleluia ! Alleluia ! Oh sing, Alellula ! Allelula ! Keep praising the Lord, Praising the Lord Keep praising the Lamb, Praising the Lamb Alleluia ! Oh sing Alleluia ! But remember, He who overcomes (Rev. 3:12) Shall Inherit these things And I will be his God (Romans 8:19,23) And he will be My son. My Son Blessed are those (Rev. 22:14) Who wash their robes That they may have the right To the Tree of Life And may enter by the gates Into the city, Into the city Outside are the dogs, (Rev. 22:15) Outside are the dogs, Outside are the dogs, Beware of the dogs, Outside are the dogs Beware of the evil workers, (Phillipians 3:2-3) Outside are the dogs Beware of the false circumcision, (Titus l:10-11) Outside are the dogs Do not give what is Holy to dogs (Matthew 7:6) Do not throw your pearls before swine Lest they trample them under their feet And turn and tear you to pieces.
