Story behind the song
My brother Alex had written this riff a long time ago, I mean...a REALLY long time ago and it kind of sat stagnant. He brought it back to life as a really cool gift for his girlfriend. I started hearing it over and over again in my head and the pieces started falling into place at that point. I started with the idea of the riff, modified a bit, played on the piano, then layered strings over it, then bass, then drums. It sounded really cool at that point. So, I just kept going with it. Nearly 7 song minutes later and 2 solid days of work and stress, I got it going. Its not finished, but its a cool start.
