Story behind the song
My wife's grandfather had a brother who was killed at this battle. During the week of Veteran's Day, they taped a hand-written note on their car that told of his death. When I saw this, it broke my heart, and I vowed that I would record a song that would give this fallen hero the honor he deserved. When my wife's grandfather heard it for the first time, the tears rolled down his face, knowing that his dear brother had been properly recognized.
