I'm a singer/songwriter and am losing my voice to a neuromuscular disorder. So I am on a quest to have my songs heard and hopefully recorded by someone.
When she gets all dressed up in lace
She turns the head of every boy in the place
And she always shines so bright
Especially when she grabs that stick and heads out on the ice
(Chorus) She’s daddy’s girl and momma’s little lady
Grandma still calls her “pretty baby”
She meets her friends at the shopping mall
Flirts with boys in study hall
She’s everything a teenage girl should be
And she’s captain of the girls’ hockey team
She dreams she’ll someday go for gold
She plays the game with a heart that is bold
And she’s a friend to her whole team
Cause they share more than a locker room; they’re living the same dream (chorus)
There’s a lot more to her than they think
And she shoots for goals that are way beyond
Her local hockey rink
Cause she’s daddy’s girl and momma’s little lady
Grandma still calls her “pretty baby”
She meets her friends at the shopping mall
Flirts with boys in study hall
She’s everything a teenage girl should be
And with every goal she’s closer to her dream
And she’s captain of the girls’ hockey team
Oh how she shines
