Story behind the song
lyrics inspired primarily by the band snapcase, and the album progression through unlearning.this song is somewhat of an homage to the members hardcore beginnings, and an anthemic tribute to the genre that got ryan's hope into music in the first place. Song lyrics describe the troubles you sometimes have to endure in the face of living how you want to live, and avoiding any one else's pre-conceived notions or plans for you.
Lyrics
we hold on to let go, unlearning the paths they have chosen for us. sweet recession, withdraw myself, resist the world. Desire has overwhelmed this heart of mine, and i can't turn back now. I never found the perfect words, but I know there is only one truth. until eternity comes crashing head on into faded dreams that others had arranged for us, until the end, here we stand. unlearn these paths.
