Vilikia Dyer (Va-le-ka) was born Vitinia Vilikia Forbes on September 11, 1984 in Nassau, Bahamas. The oldest of three children, she grew up in a single parent home raised by her mother Patricia Roberson. Vilikia began her singing ministry at the age of 8. At the age of 14, Vilikia began to write her own lyrics. At 16, Vilikia took on the challenge of singing in a gospel talent show for the first time. The experience was exhilarating, to use her own words, "it was an exciting experience for me because I've never participated in a talent show before; I had fun and I thank God for the experience. Vilikia’s heart is worship and while she’s singing she set’s the atmosphere and ushers in the presence of God as she operates under the anointing.
