Featuring the talents of Billy Rankin (ex Nazareth, Alex Harvey Band), Kenny Cobain, John O'Leary (ex Gunslingers, Ritual)
Mortice was born after a few beers and a desire to do things our way. Combining a mixture of styles from heavy metal to southern rock, influences were not difficult to come by considering the members of the band. Featuring Billy Rankin, (former axeman with Nazareth and the Alex Harvey Band), drummer John O'Leary (ex Gunslingers and Ritual), Kenny Cobain, Steve White and Alan Shipman. Other contributers were Graham Lane and lastly Matt Love. The songs featured here are the original versions of the album "Mayhem", featuring Billy Rankin on lead vocal. This version of the album is a special 2011 release and cannot be bought anywhere else and is only available to purchase on Soundclick. The release of this special version is to coincide with the imminent release of the track "Mayhem" for the popular video game, Rock Band 3.

Lyrics
STATE OF MIND And the dreams alive and it's going on And they all believe the ending Saw her face in the golden light Was no reason for pretending Oh the feeling, long since going back And the lies of past remembering All the solemn ones in their golden clothes Where no honour worth defending Hold on Hold on The orchestration plays it loud But the song has long been over For the fellow men and their grieving wives It's a field of endless clover Now the will to tear down Every wall of this city and it's story Has never been so strong inside of me Power and the glory Hold on Hold on (MANDOLIN SOLO) Hold on Hold on And the dreams alive and it's going on And they all believe the ending Saw her face in the golden light Was no reason for pretending Now the will to tear down Every wall of this city and it's story Has never been so strong inside of me Power and the glory Hold on Hold on (Hold on) Hold on Hold on Hold on Hold on ? John O'Leary, Billy Rankin
