Story behind the song
The "black milk" in the song was lifted from Paul Celan's poem: Fugue Of Death. Unlike the poem, the song is not about the horror of war, but about how any crusader must give up their personal life before they embark on their journey. Every solider (be they good or evil) faces this heartbreaking moment.
