A melodic ballad that tells the story of a young sax player's struggle and rise to fame. His whole life in 3:30 minutes... Haunting melody with a Johnny Cash feel...

Story behind the song
This is one of my first compositions composed on and for guitar even though it tells the story of a sax player's life... This is a rough demo that I plan on adding full instrumentation and a better arrangement.
Lyrics
Johnny was his name and he lived alone, Ordered a pizzas on the telephone. Eat them in the corner and played saxophone. When he played his music he was never alone. Got his inspiration from a neon sign, It flashed a message and it kept the time. It said all are welcome, Hotel Maritime... In a city by the port it always caught your eye, Like a rainbow over head in a lullaby. Then one day Johnny went away, looking for the big time and a brighter day. Chasing his dreams was not as hard as it seems. He got a big break in a local pub, Playing his music for the people he loved... Johnny was his name and he played saxophone. Living in a tour bus on the open road, but city after city always takes it's toll, Like acting in the theater in a tragic roll... The years flew by like a gust of wind. The road grew shorter and the audience thin. The curton fell and the lights went dim. Johnny never dreamed it would happen to him… Fame and fortune came and went away. Left him thinking of the brighter days. Johnny was his name and he lived alone, Johnny played his memories on the saxophone...
