Story behind the song
It has only recently come to my attention that the lyricist that I collaborated with on this song, Mike Taub, was in a serious car accident last November. His injuries were so severe that they didn’t know whether or not he was going to pull through. His wife, family and friends have set up a website where anyone who would like to make a donation may do so. Mike Taub recovery fund Could you please be so kind and make a donation to Mike and his family? About this song- Mike Taub asked me if I wanted to collab on a lyric he wrote. This was just about the same time that Ray Charles had passed away. I had never written in this genre before. I swear that Ray was over my shoulder helping me to write this song.
