Story behind the song
I´ve lost many good friends over the years and this song just came into my head when I was thinking about how to overcome the grief when you loose someone you love. I wrote it back in 1986 and I had it all the time on a tape with just my guitar and vocal, I recorded it just a few weeks ago at my home-studeo and decited to put it on my page. It's a special one for me.
Lyrics
Grief Holding back the tears I don´t wanna cry Life has been so hard on me I could die and God knows I just had enough can´t go on just feeling this way gotta stop, gotta stop and turn my life around Thinking about the years we had and the times we talked about our love and painful good-bye´s then we made a promise to never leave one another alone until the day, until the day death would do us apart Now the day has come and I´m all alone gotta fight this battle gotta be strong gotta keep on living my life remembering your spirit still remains, remains forever with no doubt
