An amateur Songwriter/Musician a work in progress
I've played in a few cover bands, started off playing lead guitar ended up playing bass, drums and even keyboards a few times and although it was fun never had any great success. I'm now more of an amateur song writer and trying very hard to come up with some songs that might impress someone enough to want to record them.

Story behind the song
The Jerry Springer Show
Lyrics
Daryl P Hall Another post for you to have a look at. This was written after watching one to many Jerry Springer type shows. Verse 1 Is your life so void and vacant? That you have to spend your days Living lives with all their problems Then display them to the cameras gaze You spill the contents of your heart Like the latest can of beans Does the end of being seen Justify the means of your Chorus Dirty Laundry done in public Every sort of problem aired Confess it all on air to Jerry Dirty laundry yeah your dirty laundry shared Verse2 Do you do it for the help you get? Or just the fifteen minutes fame They seduce with dangled carrot till You end up pawns within their game Are your problems ironed out? Or are your lives put in a spin By the crazy situation You find you are living in Chorus repeat Bridge And we are armchair counsellors Who make believe we have a clue Shouting answers at our TV screen But how can that help you Verse 3 Do you really think they care for you? Have your best int’rest in their heart Once the t.v filming’s over You’re just a rating on their chart And you end up going round and round On a cycle ever high That washes lives that washes souls Then hangs them out to dry Words By Daryl P Hall Copyright 2005
