It's a boy meets girl and girl may have a few conversations with boy but never really "takes the time" to get to know him in spite of his obvious interest in her. It is from a time when I was much younger and would be at the begining stages of a new relationship only to find out that someone else was interested but didn't take the next step and the window of opportunity closed.
