Story behind the song
While traveling to promote my 1st release in 1999 I drove to the peak in Roanoke Virgina at sunrise. The purple and orange haze far below me inspired the song which is neither about Virginia or the Sunrise. The song is about understanding when you need be 'on your own'.
Lyrics
