Story behind the song
Being a big Bret Michaels Fan, I wanted to write something in his style. Thus, One More Try came to be. It's really a story of the rock and roller who has someone special at home, but can't stop living the rock and roll lifestyle even though he knows it hurts that loved one so much. It also deals with the denial of the rocker and how that affects the relationship.
