From the General’s hill the terrain looks good
With ‘em fighters set up like they should
A stiff breeze blows from o’er the shore –
The perfect scenery of a funny war
A band is circlin round tricky bars
There’s bells & rattles; muted guitars
Soon interfered by kettledrums
Trumpets & fanfares ringin along
Both fighters look pretty dolled up
With slaty eyes; cheeks like paper cups
Pent-up lips between sneer & kiss
Brows sayin “How did it come to this?”
There’s showcase smiles here & there
Danglin arms to put nowhere

Before lineaments begin to freeze
