Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

We built on a three acre patch of timberland. C G7 C Neighbors came from miles around and they did see a lot. Oh they F C stayed till the ridge pole was raised----- from the ground G7 C For twenty seven years it was our home with wildflowers abound. F C G7 Blue Belles,violets, trillium and anemone. Songs birds and squirrels C formed the timber sounds. F Hackberry, oak, hickory and pine, they made up the upper story G7 C and protected the cabin that we all called mine. Yes, it was our F C prairie cabin home, snuggled in the big timber.We raised our family in G7 G7 C that cabin. The lodgepole pine cabin, our home on hackberry lane. .
