This was written about my father, who I know only from stories, mostly from my grandfather who raised me. It's really about my musical journey.
Story behind the song
My father was a talented man, played several instruments, spoke 5 languages, and had a great sense of humor. He always dressed well, often going around City Park Lake in Denver checking peoples fishing licenses, just for the fun of it. Sadly, he was gone by the time I was 5 weeks old, so my knowledge of him comes from stories from my Grandparents who raised me, my Mother, and many relatives and friends who knew him well.
